First Afro Meet Talk Live: Let’s Talk Events!

· Afro Meet · 👁 18

On Tuesday, 27 October 2026 at 8:30 p.m., we hosted our first Afro Meet Talk on TikTok. A space to discuss African events, share experiences and give both organisers and audiences a voice.

A first discussion about ticket buying

For this opening session, we chose a question that sparks debate: "Why do Africans always buy their tickets at the last minute?"

Trust, buying habits, prices and possible improvements were at the heart of the conversation. The session offered an opportunity to compare experiences and discuss the challenges of organising events.

Our guest speakers

Melissa Art moderated the discussion, joined by:

  • Phanuel The_Speaker, promoter at Tambour Club;
  • Bryce Ngatchou, Baskamerun / The Brain Strategies;
  • MC Padré, host;
  • Sylvain Djongue, president of Challenge Camerounais e.V., our surprise guest.

Thank you to each speaker for taking part and contributing to the conversation!

602 views for our first session

This first live session recorded 602 views. Over approximately two and a half hours, we held a discussion followed by event presentations.

Thank you to everyone who joined, listened, commented, asked questions and supported the initiative. Your participation is what makes this gathering worthwhile.

Events in the spotlight

Organisers also had the opportunity to introduce their events:

  • Afro Kamer: Cysoul Live in Freiburg;
  • Afrika Time e.V.: African diaspora ambassador election & Petit Pays in Hamburg;
  • Melissa Art: Her Circle - Edition 01 in Bochum;
  • Willymix SRL: Lady Ponce - 20-year career celebration in Brussels;
  • Cristal Night: Crystal Night - Chic African Touch in Butzbach;
  • Afrik Contest: Afrik Contest 2026 in Hanover.

The aim is to give organisers visibility and create a space to share ideas and help African events move forward together.

Join us again on 3 November

Our next session takes place on Tuesday, 3 November 2026 at 8:30 p.m. Central European Time, on TikTok @afro.meet.
